Arkigem by Marca Corona is a contemporary porcelain stoneware collection inspired by the iconic Ceppo di Sicilia, a historic Italian brecciated stone widely used in architecture. This reference material is reinterpreted through advanced ceramic technology, transforming its rich mineral composition into a high-performance architectural surface suitable for modern design requirements.
The collection stands out for its refined graphic balance, where stone fragments are embedded within a compact and harmonious background. The result is a natural, elegant surface with remarkable visual depth, avoiding excessive contrast or artificial effects. Arkigem offers a strong material presence while remaining versatile, making it ideal for both residential projects and high-end commercial or public spaces.
Arkigem is available in five carefully selected colours —Nube, Talco, Sabbia, Cappuccino and Flora— designed to create coherent and timeless architectural palettes. Lighter tones enhance brightness and spatial continuity, while warmer shades provide a sense of material warmth and sophistication. This chromatic range allows designers to create environments that are both contemporary and enduring.
Produced as BIa porcelain stoneware, Arkigem delivers excellent technical performance, including high resistance to wear, low water absorption and long-term durability. The collection is suitable for wall and floor applications, indoors and outdoors. Multiple surface finishes —Natural, Grip and Textured— ensure functional adaptability while maintaining visual consistency throughout the project.
One of Arkigem’s key strengths is its extensive format offering, ranging from standard tile sizes to large 120x278 cm slabs. These large formats are ideal for architectural projects that aim to reduce joints and enhance surface continuity. A 20 mm thick version is also available for outdoor use, providing a robust solution for terraces, walkways and high-traffic areas.
The tactile quality and visual depth of Arkigem interact dynamically with natural and artificial light, revealing subtle variations across the surface throughout the day. This sensory dimension enhances the architectural character of the material and allows it to pair seamlessly with other contemporary materials such as wood, concrete or metal.
Arkigem by Marca Corona is a stone-effect porcelain stoneware collection designed for architects and designers seeking material authenticity, technical reliability and timeless elegance. A sophisticated ceramic surface that reinterprets tradition through a modern architectural lens.
